Sturdy enough to support a 1 gallon cast iron cauldron with no issues. Much more robust than I originally expected. This hook could easily hold multiple haunches in a smokehouse, and the hole is about 3/8” (10mm), so there are a lot of options for attachment. From whatI can tell, this is a very quality hook made for years of service. Just a side note: Unless you weigh less than 40 lb with gear, this is NOT a grappling hook. Stay safe!
