A courtly fellow or wealthy noble during the High Middle Ages would have worn something like the Helwig Cloak Button to close their coat or cloak. This zinc alloy cloak button was called a tasselscheibe in Germany. A flower and leaf motif decorates this button. A twisted cord detail adorns the edge of the button. Also the button has a bar on the back for attaching it to a garment. Historically, a chain would have hung on the bar to connect two of these buttons. This button is great for cosplay, historical reenactments, or other fantasy events.
This item is handmade, therefore, it may vary slightly from what is shown above.
