Make sure that you keep your camp hatchet at your side so that you get to it whenever you need it. Use the Erich Hatchet Leather Belt Clip. Made from premium leather, this brown sheath matches the Erich Camp Small Hatchet (MY100935), sold separately. You can also use it for axes that have an axe head with the same shape and size. The sheath has a top flap that folds over the axe head. It secures in place with a strap and buckle. On the back of the sheath, there is a loop for sliding the sheath onto a belt, not included. A rivet secures the loop to the sheath. The Erich Hatchet Leather Belt Clip is great for historical reenactors, campers, and more.

Care Instructions:
- Remove dirt with a hard brush, then gently clean with leather soap and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to wipe away remaining water. Let dry naturally. Condition with oil or polish, then wipe with a final cloth to remove excess residue.

Sturdy sheath for the Erich Hatchet MY100935

I bought this for a modern axe that I have thinking it would fit, but it didn’t. But, the item is such a good, quality piece that I decided to keep it & will eventually buy the axe that goes with it. It looks exactly as it is pictured EXCEPT for three things. First, the shade of Brown is much lighter than what is pictured here. Second, the buckle for the strap is not fastened to the main body of the sheath in the same place as it is in the pictures. And, finally, the way it is designed to hang on your belt is the opposite of the way that it is displayed in the pictures. The one I received has to be worn on the LEFT side of your belt for the blade of the axe to be pointing forward. I’m not sure if the photo was flipped or something, but mine would certainly be more suited for a left handed person if you want the blade pointing in that direction. The model in the photos wears his sheath on his right side, mostly. I can still wear it on my right side, but then, the axe blade will be pointing behind me. Not a big deal, but at least you are aware of this if it is important to you.

I bought this for the hatchet. The leather is very stiff and it takes two hands to get the hatchet in or out. The strap for the buckle is a little short and makes it hard to secure. It serves it’s purpose to keep the hatchet safe, but is a little more trouble than I like. Hopefully the leather will soften up a bit with use.
