It looks exactly as pictured, inside & out. This journal is super cool! If you are looking for one that really looks & feels historical, this is the one. Compared to the Vintage Style Brown Leather Journal (HW-701709), this is the better one of the two. Both of them are nice, but this one is a little bigger, thicker, & the pages really looked & feel like ancient paper. The rough, ragged edges of the paper help to make them look very authentically aged. The leather is very supple & it is nice sized journal. Roughly 5-3/4 inches by 8 inches. I would definitely buy this again. Highly recommended!
