All throughout the late medieval period, swords like the 15th Century Ring-Hilt Longsword were gaining prominence among knights, nobles, and mercenaries alike. Wielding this longsword, you’ll be holding a weapon inspired by stylish and elegant designs.
Ready for Battle
Inspired by the epic battles of late medieval history, this longsword is designed with a unique ring-hilt and is ready for combat. Forged as one piece from EN45 high-carbon steel, this sword is designed to withstand the rigors of sport and stage combat. Carbon steel is renowned for its strength and durability. The blunted, double-edged blade has a rounded tip. A fuller runs down the length of the blade. The forte has thinner and shorter fullers on both sides.
Moving down to the crossguard, it has a rectangular cross-section and angles toward the blade. The quillons taper into notched designs for added detail. The center of the crossguard has notched ring guards on either side for deflecting attacks away from your grip.
The wooden, rectangular handle is wrapped in black leather and steel wire. The upper half of the grip is wrapped in leather and the lower is wrapped in wire. At the bottom, the threaded pommel is designed in the faceted scent-stopper style.
This medieval longsword comes with a wooden scabbard wrapped in black leather. The throat and the chape of the scabbard are steel. Both the throat and the chape have hanging rings for easy attachment. These hanging rings allow you to wear your sword in a variety of ways on your sword belt.
