When you need a throwing axe for your next raid or pillage, do not forget to take the Viking Bearded Axe along with you. Made from mild carbon steel, this functional axe has a straight hardwood haft.
At the top, there is a bearded blade. A bearded blade extends further on the bottom than on the top. This Viking throwing axe has a straight bottom on the blade.
Through use, the axe head will naturally wear into the wood handle, creating a sturdy design. Please be aware that the axe does not have a retention screw. Take this well-balanced axe to your next competition, throwing practice, or battle reenactment.
Please be aware that wood handles can split as a part of normal wear and tear through continued use. This is not a defect.

This is a great axe. Bought one close to two years ago, and it held up amazingly through a lot of heavy sparring and reenactments. Also it was vary well balanced and great for throwing. It finally broke not to long ago, but I am still vary satisfied and will be getting another one soon. I would definetly recommend this to anyone wanting to get a low cost axe.

Very nice axe for the money – looks and feels good, well balanced. Mild steel, so it won’t hold an edge long with real use, but for my purposes (primarily a Viking outfit prop), it is practically perfect. Needed some cleanup (varnish & grease) and the head to be set properly, but easy enough and ready to go. Also a great base for a customization project!
