Outstanding shirt! Truly one of the best. I’ve purchased many other Mytholon Linen shirts & tunics & this one will get plenty of use as my “go to” shirt. I ordered the Cream color. It looks really good & authentic when you are wearing it. The style & cut make it roomy & very comfortable to wear. The sleeves can be as loose or as fitted as you want with its fabric strings . It has everything I was looking for in a medieval era shirt. I almost wish I would have bought this shirt before I had bought all of the other ones. I would have saved a lot of money. (The Ansgar Linen shirt & the Gadaric Linen Tunic are still pretty cool, though.) This shirt is definitely larger when it comes to the sizing. I took the advice from Medieval Collectibles & ordered a Medium instead of my usual Large & the fit was right on target. I wouldn’t have wanted it any bigger than that. I’m seriously considering a 2nd one a backup.

UPDATE – I wanted to update my review after actually using it for a period of time. I STILL love it. I was just fine in the hot weather & it looks awesome! However, it shrunk a lot when I went to wash it because I forgot it was a “Hand wash” item–even though I used cold water, a garment bag, & hung it up to dry. I can still wear it, but you can see & feel that it is noticeably smaller. I use it under my vests & jerkins now. Apparently, even the Regular wash cycle agitation can be enough to cause the linen material to shrink. So, in the end, I did end up buying a 2nd one…and a 3rd! I hate hand washing anything, so I bought another Medium & now wash it on the Gentle/Delicates cycle & keeping everything else the same. It shrank a little bit, but not like first time. It still has an oversized look & feels comfortable. That is why I bought the 3rd one in an XL size. I figure when the other two wear out, the XL should shrink down to where I need it to be…also the Size Large was out of stock & I reasoned that’s even more insurance for shrinkage. My advice is that if you are lazy (like me) & just want to toss this stuff in the washer, order your regular shirt size or the next size up & air dry it. One more thing, when you first wash this item, wash it by itself alone, once or twice. The loose linen fibers & fuzz get all over EVERYTHING else in the load. (What a mess) When it’s air dried, go outside, turn it inside out, & give it a good shaking until you don’t see anything else coming off of it. Everyone you live with will thank you for it.
