This is a great item. You’ll need a belt to hold it up, and some sort of padding on your knees as it chaffes them with a vengance.
Overall, a sublime piece.

The leg armor arrived in time for my larp game. My main gripes about the armor only relates to a couple of the straps. The strap that goes behind the leg on the cuisses and the top strap on the greaves are somewhat short. Otherwise these are still wearable to a degree.

Great piece love it and came a day early only problem was a small amount of rust on one of the pieces, it was easy to buff out though.

Wow these look soooo much better in person! They are big so if you are shorter than 5’5″ the bottoms won’t line up with the bottoms of your ankles quite right. You could still get them but make sure you get some decent boots and sabatons or they will rest on top of your feet. I got the Crusader Upper Leg Padding set and the Farald Padded Greaves to go with them and that was the way to go. You may want to get some straps to secure them to a belt as well. I used a couple zip ties since they were under the bottom of my gambeson anyway and that worked great. You can skip this step but the weight of these plates will rest on top of your ankles/feet. The straps worked great except for the knee straps. I couldn’t fit my cat’s leg into these and get that strap around it, it is just that short! I don’t understand what the design intent was there but you can skip the knee strap anyway so not a big deal. They didn’t impede my movement whatsoever when I ran in them which was a nice surprise.

Really good price for the two. The weight is largely decreased from hanging on a belt. However, there is still some weight on the top of the foot. That being said, you could always cut the greaves portion off and use them separately if they really made you uncomfortable. Unfortunately one of mine came with a busted rivet but I was able to send it bad to MC for repair
