Steel Demi Gauntlets

Do not forget to protect your hands from attack before you head into battle. The Steel Demi Gauntlets are a wonderful way to do so. Made from 16 gauge mild steel, these half gauntlets come as a pair. They have a single plate design. The gauntlets feature flared cuffs with rolled edges. Each cuff covers the back of the wrist. It has a central point along the bottom edge. The front of the cuff is open. Next, the main section has a corrugated shape and a scalloped edge. The rounding of the plate protects the knuckles and the back of the hand as well as provides room to move the fingers. The half gauntlets secure to the hand with an adjustable buckle and strap at the wrist. There is a leather loop near the top of the palm. Wearing these gauntlets works best with having gloves on underneath. Gloves do not come included. You can wear these gauntlets with your armour ensemble. They are great for a historical reenactment. The Steel Demi Gauntlets look wonderful at a faire or LARP event.

• This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil.
