The cruciform design of this sword makes it look quite like a warriors weapon, while the fine detailing on the Silver Sword of the Catholic King makes it look all the more a kingly blade, one befitting a monarch who might rule through divine right. This impressive sword features a long, stainless steel blade that features heavy etching down the upper part of the blade, as well as on the long ricasso that extends out from the swords hilt. The silver-metal hilt features straight quillons that are heavily adorned with rich, embossed detailing, and the grip is wrapped in silver wire to provide a more comfortable hold when the sword is handled. The pommel is most distinctive, featuring a flattened, spatulate form set with four hollow circles and richly adorned with further embossed designs. Included with the sword is a black leather sheath, which perfectly masks this swords appearance, making it easy to transport it (or hide its appeal, for a king who wishes to go incognito). Fine design and rich detail are two things that make this Silver Sword of the Catholic King a fine weapon to wield and own, and once you bring it into your home, do not be surprised if it becomes a centerpiece of your decor, whether its hanging on your wall behind your throne or sitting on your mantel in your reading room.

This is my first sword and I love it so much! The weight is good and it is as pictured, however there were some scratches and blemishes on the blade. The sheath is not the same as in the picture, just solid black. Overall, I am pleased with it for the price I paid.
