Are you searching for an impressive-looking polearm to add to your weaponry collection? Check out the Silver Morning Star Flail Mace. This decorative flail has a wooden haft. A black cord wraps around the bottom of the haft, creating a grip. There is a chain loop at the bottom for securing on a wrist.

At the top, the flail has a connection to a pair of stainless-steel chains. On the end of each chain, there is a spiked ball, like the head of a morning star. This medieval flail makes a great stage prop or decor piece. It fits in especially well with any dungeon decor.

History of the Flail

The medieval flail was originally a peasant weapon, originating from an agricultural tool with the same name. It was most common in the late Middle Ages. The Hussites would wield it in their peasant armies during the mid to late 1400s.

Also, the weapon was mentioned in multiple sword-fighting guides, known as Fechtbuecher. This included the Arte De Athletica by Paulus Hector Mais. There was a Rus weapon that was similar, known as Kisten. Another weapon that was similar was the Kettenmorgenstern or the chain morning star in German.
