This set features two types of pole arms, one being the halberd, which is still used ceremoniously in parts of Europe today, and the other being the gisarmes, which was a weapon primarily used to dismount cavalry during the early Middle Age. OMG!! These are FABULOUS!! He loves them SO much that he asked me to buy a poseable scale knight to wield them properly! I’ve contacted a custom puppet and doll maker in Poland to find out if he can create a scale figure to dress as a knight to go with these polearms. They are SO much bigger than we thought and that was a beautiful surprise! Since they are 11″ we’re trying to order the custom figure(s) to be 18″-24″ tall, completely poseable and able to stand independently. The toymaker in Poland is an expert and therefore a little expensive, which is funny considering how little the cost and BIG the VALUE is on these, but it’s like when my Nana found a belt and had to buy an entire outfit to go with it. LOL. WORTH EVERY PENNY!! WE LOVE MEDIEVAL COLLECTIBLES!!! You will too!!
