In ancient Greece, the moon was symbolic of Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. She also had lunar connotations, just as her brother Apollo was often related to the sun. This pendant, straight-forward in its design, is a symbol of the goddess, Artemis. The pendant is crafted entirely from fine sterling silver, but instead of a polished finish, the metal is burnished and darkened, to give it a more antiqued and ancient look, befitting the symbol of a Grecian goddess. The pendant is shaped like a crescent moon, which was so often used as a symbol of Artemis (and later, her Roman equivalent, Diana). Embossed into the pendant is Theban script, which spells out the goddess name. This accent is offered only as a pendant, which means it can be paired with any existing necklace or chain you own to create a truly impressive accent. Modern-day practitioners of Wicca often venerate Artemis, and even the occasional hunter might stand to enjoy her symbol, just as history buffs and mythology enthusiasts can enjoy its design, too. Thus, there are many who might stand to benefit from owning and wearing this Runic Silver Artemis Pendant.
