The equipment of any medieval fighter is not complete without a trusted shield at the ready. Featuring a kite shape, the Richard Shield is made of thick weapon foam, and as such is suitable for LARP and light reenactment. A flexible plate is fixed to the back of the shield, featuring a plastic handle as well as an adjustable leather buckled strap. Five leather cords on the back make it easy to attach protective and stylish shield covers, like the Richard Two Color Shield Cover (MY100341) or the Richard Quarterly Shield Cover (MY100342), or if you are wanting a solid color check out the Richard Shield Cover (MY100340), the three styles made to fit this particular shield shape.

Shield is nice, and the handle makes it easy to control. Takes a bit of time to get used to it if you’ve never used a shield before. You can also easily attach covers to it.

It looks like the shield wasn’t entirely covered in latex. The back of it is, with the handle and leather strap, it is a dark brown color. I have also bought the black shield cover that goes with it to protect the edges.

The perfect DIY heater shield! It doesn’t have a latex coating so it’s perfect to paint your own coat of arms and then you can use one of the cloth covers to use it for another character. It’s also a large size and great for protecting you in a shield wall.
