If your mini Dickens or Christmas village takes place near the beach, make sure to add the Ramsgate Lighthouse by Department 56. Made from porcelain, this hand-painted figurine depicts the lighthouse at Ramsgate, England, which was built in 1842.

It has a tan brick platform that is rectangular on one end and round on the other. A series of steps leads up to the top of the platform. A ladder hangs from the other side. Both lead into the water below. On the base, there is a seagull hanging out on a short pillar next to the lighthouse.

The beige lighthouse itself has an octagonal base and a round tower. There is a red door in front. It has a Christmas wreath on it. Above the door is the year 1842 in Roman numerals. A Christmas garland hangs just below the top of the main part of the lighthouse. Above the garland, it reads Perfugium Miseris, meaning Refuge of the Poor.

At the top, the lighthouse has a red cupola with a light and black weather vane. It lights up with an LED powered by an AC adapter. This mini lighthouse statue looks great in any little Christmas village or snowy Victorian beach scene. This hand-painted miniature building is made by Department 56.
