If your steel helmet could use some more comfort or a more secure fit, add the Padded Helmet Liner With Chin Strap. This brown, cotton canvas inner liner wraps around the inside of your helmet and has an attached adjustable chin strap that secures with a brass buckle. The padded cotton canvas is stitched together into a solid piece designed to be set near the bottom edge of your helmet, while the opposite ends taper to better fit the rounded shape of a helmet. The padding filling is wool felt. The leather chin strap comes unattached. Refresh your favorite medieval or fantasy helmet with this essential padded helmet liner.
As this item is crafted by hand, slight variations in color and detail may occur. Please note that rivets do not come included. Steel Mushroom Rivets are sold separately.

Well-constructed and looks like it will be comfy to use. However, there are no instructions on how to attach or use it and it isn’t obvious. Also no way to complete the circle of the band, i.e. the ends don’t connect in any way. However you decided to use the rivets, you will need tools to do so. The buckle on the chinstrap has a very nice Medieval look to it. Overall, it looks like a versatile item that could be attached in different ways to your helm to provide some padding – you may just have to get creative or find some reference pictures.

Great! Know this, if you want to attach this to a helmet you will need; Drill and drill bits, rivets, washers, hammer, and something hard to hit. It’s perfect for someone like me who actually makes helmets but doesn’t want to spend time with making liners. God bless and Merry Christ Mas! Luke 2:1-21
