When you need to fight off your enemies as a mighty and fierce Viking, you should protect your head by wearing the Nasal Helmet. Made from 16-gauge steel, this Viking helmet has a rounded, conical design. Two reinforcing strips cross over the top of the helmet. There is another reinforcing strip that runs around the bottom edge of the helmet.
In front, there is a nasal guard that hangs down to protect the nose. It has a section that runs up the forehead. Rivets secure the nasal guard in place. The guard has concave curves on the sides, just below the bottom edge of the Norse helmet.
On the inside, the helmet has a leather liner. Also, it features a chin strap for securing it onto the head. This helmet is great for historical reenactments, LARP events, Ren faires, and more.
Be sure to wear this helmet with an arming cap for enhanced comfort and safety. And remember to check out our helmet stands for the best way to both store and show off your helmet with pride!

I received this helmet today and I’m extremely pleased. Upon opening, the first thing I felt is its weight. It has a very solid weight to it and comes wrapped in protective plastic and coated in oil. (Just a simple wipe down will be necessary). The sizing is absolutely right on the money. I am a big guy with a big head, hat size 7-1/2, about 63/64cm. This thing has a very high quality liner that is very similar to the WW2 German M38 and M42 adjustable liner that’s easily snugged up or loosened by 2 leather draw strings. The page states that it’ll fit between 64 and 68 and that’s absolutely right. The quality is remarkable and o would honestly say that this is the closest to an authentic and genuine Norman/Viking Nasal helm that one could get affordably without forging your own. In my opinion, at $130 USD the value is fantastic. The metal isn’t flimsy or thin and both the support bands and rivets have a nice girth and authentic feel to them. One would have plenty of room for a padded cap and chainmail coif as long as their head isn’t beyond about a 68. The helmet itself is not a simple cosmetic model but a real helmet. Trying it on, one can quickly understand the protection this offers to the head and nose.

This is a heavy duty helm and can withstand some impact. Great for reenactments and costuming but is heavy as the real thing so be cautious of that. If I need a second one then I will order another without hesitation.
Great Kit!
