These leather molded spaulders are specially designed and conformed to the shoulder to provide more protection by using a larger section of leather, and using the courbouille hardening method and shaping to cover more area of the shoulder. The pauldrons attach to your body with straps that go around your chest and buckle, so a gorget is not needed when wearing these. Made of thick 13/15 oz. armour grade leather, they provide good protection for reenactment and combat. They are available in black, brown, dark red, blue, and green. These pauldrons are sold as a pair.

Care Instructions:
- Remove dirt with a hard brush, then gently clean with leather soap and a soft, damp cloth. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth, then use a dry cloth to wipe away remaining water. This product looks so good, comes with miles of extra strap so size shouldn’t be an issue for anyone. I’ve been wearing these to weekly boffer sport meetups and they move so nicely they articulation is done very nicely. Thick leather counts as heavy for Amtgard. (+3)

These are great. They have very long straps that easily keep the spaulders in place. The spaulders are fairly light and don’t feel out of place. If you have ever had to wear protective gear for sports such as football, lacrosse, or hockey they feel a lot like that. I wear them for larp and look forward to running through the woods chasing orcs in them. The only downside is that if you wear a back quiver and have to draw arrows it is difficult to bring your hands over your shoulder to draw.

I had my doubts about the fastening method, but they actually hold pretty well on the shoulders. They extend down far enough to protect the upper elbow.
