While the seax was the basic Viking utility knife, more decorative versions of the dagger, like this Lobed Pommel Viking Seax, were often used among these Norse warriors for ceremonial purposes or to show prestige among themselves. The stainless steel blade of this dagger features a wide, flat surface with a sharp diagonal point. Etched with an X pattern, the circular guard is made from brass. The distinct lobed pommel, also made of brass decorated with an X pattern, is shaped like a crown. This was a popular pommel design among historical Viking weapons. The handle is wrapped in dark gray wire for a decorative look as well. Included with the seax is a stitched brown leather scabbard, great for making sure your weapon stays protected between uses. Integrated belt loops mean you can carry it with ease. Showcase the exquisite artistry of the Norse people in your collection of weaponry with this Lobed Pommel Viking Seax.

Surprisingly legit. Heavy, solid, very pretty.

Due to the metal handle, the weight is a bit too far back and as such takes away from the chopping purpose of the knife, and the sheath is a bit loose but thats an easy fix, really.

We’ll put together. Hangs heavy on the handle side on account of the weight. With a little reconstruction of the sheath it fine. Great for reenactments.
