I bought this scabbard/sheath as a replacement scabbard for an actual battle-ready sharpened medieval dagger which I already owned. I realize that this scabbard is designed as a LARP scabbard; but it fills the bill, as the measurements were nearly perfect for my blade, and it is solidly constructed from excellent-grade bovine leather. Well-sewn, well designed, and rugged. This scabbard is lined with a very soft synthetic fiber lining, which will nicely protect my high-carbon steel blade from abrasions while it is sheathed. The price is right for me as well, after having checked various scabbard/sheath sales listings available online. It’s tougher than I expected it to be to find a decent, well made, as well as attractive, sheath/scabbard sold by itself. I found only a few that fit the large, required measurements for a medieval dagger; and they were all outrageously expensive, and very plain or unattractive to look at, even though apparently well-crafted. So, this scabbard was a great all-around solution for me; and it is a handsome, quality, scabbard. Worth the price. I am very pleased with it.
