Illumine Cuirass – Ancient Brass

When you are heading into battle against the enemy, you can protect your torso by wearing the Ancient Brass Illumine Cuirass. This steel armour comes in three sizes with a brass-colored finish. The sizes are somewhat adjustable with two straps on either side. First, it comes with a front and back section. They connect to a brown leather lining. The lining continues onto the sides where it has the buckles for the adjusting straps. Vine detailing runs along the top and bottom edges of the side sections.

Next, the front section has three plates riveted together. The central plate has multiple ridges which curve and angle down into a central point. There are five rivets on each side which connect to the side plate. They add a unique detail to the front. The riveting details continue on the back. On the back, there is a just a single brass-colored plate. It has a curved top and bottom edge. Also, it curves on the sides near the top to give the shoulders more mobility. This plate has an inset, pointed curved design.

Finally, the rivets connect the armour to brown leather shoulder straps. These shoulder straps feature more of the vine detailing. In addition, the straps have holes to connect the armour to the Illumine Shoulder Armour (MCI-3547), sold separately. The Ancient Brass Illumine Cuirass works well for a wide range of medieval and fantasy characters.

• This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil.
