Herne the Hunter is a ghost associated with Windsor Forest in England. The Herne Statue depicts the appearance that is commonly associated with this great hunter – a strong man with ragged deer antlers growing from his head. Here, Herne is depicted sitting on a tall stump and wearing little more than what a forest could provide, with only leaves wrapping around his legs and his waist. Bangles decorate his arms, and he holds a longbow in his hand. A quiver filled with arrows adorns his back. Grand deer antlers sprout from his head. This great fantasy statue is made from cold cast resin, which has been hand painted to possess the appearance of multihued bronze metal, with the stump remaining a dark, burnished color, the leaves being a metallic green, and Hernes skin being a polished bronze shade. The Herne Statue is straightforward in its depiction, yet is amazingly detailed, so much so that the statue of this forest-dwelling ghost makes a fantastic decoration that can infuse a bit of fantasy into virtually any style of decor.
