Few weapons utilize torque as effectively as a hand-and-a-half sword. Provide your knight or adventurer character with this advantage in your next LARP event when you equip them with the formidable Gareth LARP Bastard Sword. This LARP weapon is made from a specially designed latex-free, injection-molded foam with a strong fiberglass core. This core grants the sword extreme durability as well as a degree of flexibility while keeping it safe for use in LARPing, theater, staged events, and more. The hilt of this sword, which comes in either steel or gold coloration, is long enough to accomodate a one- or two-handed grip. Its hilt is wrapped in leather for easy gripping, and its pommel fits snugly against the palm. The quillons of this sword are perhaps its most impressive feature, extending outward from the hilt in a true medieval fashion. The Gareth LARP Bastard Sword is sure to serve as a noble and steadfast battle companion to all who wield it!
This LARP weapon is made without using latex but still benefits from periodic silicone treatments. As such, we recommend the use of our Maintenance Silicone for LARP weapons, as it will help prolong the life of the foam’s special coating. Also, this item is made through injection molding, therefore there is a small hole in the blade. This is not a defect. It is a sign of its construction.

This sword is sturdy, efficient and held up in my recent larp. It’s particularly fast, but you know you’ve been hit. There was shredding from the paint on the handle, but that was because I didn’t treat it. Honestly it is worth the price for a budget.

This is an awesome sword. I’m not a LARPer so I can’t really speak to its actual combat durability, but the grip feels great and is attached very securely, the aesthetic is great (I got the Steel color version), and it’s big enough to have Huge Weapon Vibes but still quite light and can be swung with one hand. The tip is very bendy, so I have to be careful with how I lean the sword on things when not in use as I don’t want to wear it down or cause a permanent bend, but that’s easily done. Something to keep in mind is that this thing is pretty big, and is hard to keep fully out of your way when worn on a sword belt or in a frog. I’m 6’2″ and even a sword belt worn kinda low still puts the hilt and pommel at about my ribcage, and if I carried the belt any lower the sword would likely scrape the ground. If you’re gonna wear this sword, I would make sure you have a belt/frog that you can really easily move around and adjust the angle of to help you get around things and sit down.
