I ordered this in ‘Cream’ medium-sized. I am 5’10” male, 150 lbs; the medium fits me perfectly. Canvas looks authentic and has a rustic texture. Quality craftsmanship at a great value. I would definitely recommend this tunic, especially to those on a budget.

At first I thought that the tunic was a bad idea, but it seemed that I was wrong, seeing it now makes want to live in the Dark ages.

  3. Dan H.

It is an amazing tunic at an amazing price. It looks good standalone or with other pieces. I purchased it to wear under my chainmail and it worked flawlessly.

  4. Victoria W.

Ordered the cream in large to fit underneath my chainmail instead of an expensive gambeson. The reason is due to hot weather where i live. It is made of thick canvas material so it worked great under the chainmail and it didnt get too hot. The neck opening is unusually large.

I just spent 3 hours at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in full chainmaille wearing this tunic underneath. Very comfortable.

I absolutely adore this long tunic. I ordered a size larger so that it would shrink slightly to a nice fit. The fabric is thick and rustic, and the red color of mine is deep and pure. The tunic’s length is nice and hits me just at the knees (I’m 5’8″). I am using this as a sort of short robe that allows for plenty of leg movement and flexible. I think I will order another of these in the future in another color!

Excellent quality and great stitching. The heavy canvas is perfect for fall wear and the value is crazy high compared to more expensive offerings. My green tunic is a very dark forest green, so not at all how the picture depicts it, but that’s what I preferred anyway. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate.

Fits perfect with slight alteration on sleeves, if you have a large gut it will fit close to the body but still be long enough and look great. Fast shipping

I bought this to wear underneath my chainmail. The fabric is nice, sturdy, and incredibly comfortable. I wish I had the opportunity to wear this more often.

Came to me quick and looks great. Can’t wait to try it out under my armor.

Ordered an XL in blue, but the color is 100% Navy blue, which I was fine with, but just be aware it is slightly darker than pictured. I’m 6’1″ and about 200 lbs, and the XL fits nicely. Measured out, I have a 43 inch chest and this has a nice fit to it. It falls roughly down to my knees and the fabric looks authentic, and is surprisingly comfortable for canvas. If you’re planning to wear this in the heat though, you may want to opt for the linen version, as it is thick enough to be a comfortable weight in cooler climates. All things considered, love it!

We’ve got 2 of these. The one we bought for our adult son fits great. The canvas is sturdy and looks like it will stand up to a lot of use. The tunic is not as suited to the feminine shape, however, I had to seriously modify mine to fit (i.e. take it apart, redo sleeves, shorten torso/add waist, add under-arm gussets, add side slits, etc.). I can’t really fault the tunic. *Notice the female models are tall and thin, so if you look like that, or you’re a young man, it’ll be great!

I love this Tunic! My first purchase from Medieval Collectables was the Aaron Umhang Canvas grun cloak. I will tell you I have been hooked ever since! I ordered these tunic brown and green to go under the cloak. I am going for a “David the Gnome” type of outfit but mostly green and brown colors with an added cloak. The package said it was delivered around 6pm on a Tuesday afternoon, yet to my dismay the package was not on my door step. I quickly called the team and got hold of team member Mya and told her my situation. She told me that if the tunics were not found by UPS in 3 day they would replace my order for free and put out a claim on the lost goods. Let me just say for my second time purchasing from Medieval Collectables they go above and beyond. They truly saved the day and helped my dreams come true! The replaced order of tunics arrived 3 days later and were pure joy to open! They are comfortable, durable and warm. Also I am layering mine as well that’s why I purchased 2. I think I will wear the grown tunic under the green tunic. The green tunic has more of a old time soft canvas feel, whereas the brown feels like tough canvas type feel, I love them both, perfect if you are into Skyrim, Legends of Zelda, and other LARP/RPG dress up. The main thing I love about these tunics the most is that they are simplistic enough to custom, add your own symbol/crest. I may in the future sew on a wool hood to the brown tunic for extra flair. Overall if you have never ordered from this company DON’T HESITATE! The Tunics are a must, I am a beginning LARP/RPG/dress up for fun and run thru the woods customer, these are exactly the tunics I was looking for, this is exactly the family company I was looking for. From the bottom of my cosplay heart, Thank you Medieval Collectables you guys are priceless!!

I am 6 ft 4 in and 330 lbs. I am also a dude. I ordered the 3x size in green and found that the tunic fit me pretty well. A little bit of the spare tire pokes through but that is not the tunics fault! That just means I need to lose a little more weight. One thing that I think is notable about this tunic is that the cut is much nicer than what I expected for a tunic of this cost. It is made out of some pretty rough canvas and the cut of it is actually nicer than the material that it’s made of. I don’t mind the roughness of it because you know this is supposed to be a medieval costume. But I could see where somebody would want to wear an undershirt with this tunic. The good part about the size and roughness of this tunic is it would be useful as a surcoat over some armor so I think you get a lot of versatility with this item of clothing. Something else that I want to point out is that it has a pretty prominent split in it which you can see in some of the pictures of the lady elf modeling the tunic but I don’t think it’s very well displayed. So if you’re going to be riding horses this tunic might not be a bad choice. All the doll I would recommend this tunic to another person and just as long as they are aware and it is made out of some rough canvas other than that it’s pretty good item for the price especially.

Good quality, seems pretty durable, and fits true to size.
The tunic has an authentic look & feel that lines up perfectly with what’s shown in the pictures. This is a very versatile piece that can serve as an excellent base for a wide variety of medieval style outfits and is also comfortable to wear.

Well made, study construction, Neck hole is comically large.

  17. Jack DuBose (verified owner)

It was a little smaller than expected but nothing that’s uncomfortable, pretty good overall

  18. nils.olson (verified owner)

Nice tunic for an inexpensive price

  19. Baylee Burger (verified owner)

Very thick and well-made tunic. I’m always really impressed with Mythalon products, though they run a bit smaller than expected.

  20. tpolanski (verified owner)

Bought the large black and grey tunics, they just fit. May have to go up a size. The grey is darker than the photo. The neck hole is wider than I expected.

  21. Tristen Sellar-Isaacs (verified owner)

Sturdily made. Im 5’9″ 150lbs and the medium is a perfect fit

  22. Drew McNeill (verified owner)

Unbelievable quality for the price. I’m very new to the renaissance/medieval scene, and was pretty unhappy with the quality of the costume-grade medieval apparel items I was buying on Amazon for a similar price. It all just felt so cheap and inauthentic in hand–like a costume but not real clothes. I heard that Mytholon products from Medieval Collectibles would be a good place to start for building a quality medieval, and I couldn’t be happier with this tunic. This is an excellent first building block for a medieval wardrobe on a budget.

Note that medieval style apparel like this DOES NOT fit like modern clothes, so it’s really important to take the time to measure your body and compare against their size chart. My tunic fit me really well in all areas but the chest, but it seems like everyone’s mileage varies a bit in this regard.

Comfortable and looks great. Sizing was accurate

  24. Nick O’Brien (verified owner)

I ordered the size medium and it’s a perfect fit (5’7 ~150lbs man with very broad shoulders). Nice thickness to it, it’ll also be breathable in the warmer months though. It’s about knee-length on me, which is perfect and much more historically accurate than a lot of the t-shirt-length “tunics” that are sold so often. A fantastic buy for the price

  25. chris0a0jones (verified owner)

Good quality! I bought it (the grey one) a size bigger than usual to avoided eventual shrinkage (and to hold the extra weight around the holidays). Nice and sturdy. A Zipper would be nice but it’s worth the price.
