The Espada Extra Large Knife was designed by custom knife maker Andrew Demko and Cold Steels president Lynn Thompson to harness both old world craftsmanship and modern advances in mechanics and materials. The result is this unique folder. Surprisingly well balanced for its size, this large folding knife has a dramatically upswept clip point blade ideal for cutting, slashing, and piercing. This Japanese 8A stainless steel blade is vacuum heat-treated and sub-zero quenched, then hollow ground to a thin, sharp edge that will cleave through just about any obstacle in its path. This devastating blade is paired with a state-of-the-art pistol grip handle. Strongly curved and equipped with multiple finger grooves as well as a sub-hilt, this handle ensures the knife works great using both forward and reverse grips. The frames and integral bolsters of the handle have been CNC machined from 7075 aluminum billets, rivaling even titanium in strength and endurance. As beautiful as it is effect and strong, the dovetailed bolsters are mirror polished and attached to glossy black G-10 handle scales. A Tri-Ad lock provides immense stability and impact resistance. While quite large, this folding knife can be carried discreetly in the front pocket of most pants and covered by a bloused shirt or sweater when clipped to the waistband. A patented thumb plate lets you draw it out quickly in an emergency or at a moments notice.
