- To properly maintain your steel armour, always keep the metal pieces away from water and lightly oiled to prevent rusting. Occasionally clean the armour with metal polish and re-oil them. Leather care products must be used to maintain the leather fittings as well.

This Epic Norman Nasal Helmet this just perfect. The leather lining is a big plus. I got the large size so I could wear a Coif under it. It goes well with the rest of my dark warrior armor. I am quite pleased.

Just got this in and so far I’m very happy with it. It’s comfortable to wear and seems to be made well. The leather straps and liner are nice thick leather and look good. I got the large as I have a pretty big head and I can still wear my chain coif under it comfortably or just wear it without and it doesn’t look to big. The one star I’m taking off is because it isn’t quite as dark as the one in the picture. It still looks very good, but it’s more antiqued than blackened. I was worried it wouldn’t look right with my blackened chain but it’s fine once I got it all together. This has been my experience with Epic’s dark line however, I also have their Dark Barbute and it is much darker than this one (more like the picture) and a friend has one of their helmets in dark as well and his looks almost blued. I guess their “darkening” process is not that uniform. Either way I really like my helm and I believe you’ll like it as well if you’re looking for an affordable nasal helm.

This helmet came in clutch when I quickly needed a LARP helmet but didn’t want to break the bank. I was worried the Large size might not fit after many other helmets proved too tight, but this one feels great, sits comfortably, and even makes me look cooler!
