When you wish to head into a LARP battle or a fierce historical reenactment, make sure that you take a look at the Blackened Butted Chainmail Coif. Made from 16 gauge mild steel, this coif has a blackened finish. It comes in a single size. Butted rings form a classic 4-in-1 pattern to create the look. A 4-in-1 pattern consists of four chainmail rings woven through another ring. Each round ring is 10 mm in diameter. The knight coif ends at the start of the shoulders. Wear this chainmail coif to a variety of medieval and fantasy outfits. It works great for a Renaissance faire or a stage production.

Wear this chainmail armour over one of our medieval arming caps and mantles for greater comfort and safety.

I got it 2 days ago along with some other stuff, came well packaged, was in a separate box inside the larger package, it fits well and goes under my helmet great, so far my one and only gripe is that there was a single link missing from it, it didn’t cause any problems and I honestly had to examine overall great product for larp, costuming etc

This was my first purchase of chainmail. I was looking for something small and inexpensive because my intent was to make chainmail “scraps” to be attached to various other parts of an orc costume for that cobbled-together look. This item worked very well. It’s a nice weight and look, and the links were sturdy yet fairly easy to manipulate for my needs. I did try the whole thing on as intended before taking it apart and I think it looked and felt great (you know, if you want to use it as is!). It was a lot more comfortable than I expected as a chainmail newbie. Like the previous review, mine oddly had one link missing as well, but it was loose in the box. And in case you’re curious, it does come well-oiled. I rinsed the oil off of mine in hot water and dish detergent. I’m not concerned if it rusts a bit as that would go with the look of my costume, but so far, it has stayed rust-free.

Great for wearing under a great helm to give some extra protection from your neck to your shoulders.
