The period shirt features a wide cut with a subtly ruffled open collar that laces at the neck. The long-sleeved shirt also ties along the sleeve cuffs, offering another touch of style. My thanks to Mya at Medieval Collectibles who answered my questions before my order. I was concerned that this was a thin, gauzy material like too many I’ve seen. So I wrote. Her description was perfect. It’s a good, sturdy shirt fabric, lightweight, but not see-through. I’m picky and still 100% satisfied.

Happy with shirt. Ordered XL since that is my normal shirt size and it was a little big but I shrunk it in wash and it’s fine.

Very nice fabric! I ordered a Small since that was the recommended with the chest measurements I took (I wear a Large t-shirt normally), and it still had some room to breathe. Definitely recommended!

Nice shirt. I wear a 2xl and ordered the xl. It has plenty of room. Light sturdy fabric but not see through at all. Looks great under my musketeer tabard. Will be cool for summer.

A good shirt, and a unique one for the 16th Century Europe look. This Tudors and such. But I wasn’t thrilled with how it scrunched at the neck. It’s very stiff, though I’m sure with use and wear it will get softer. I personally was expecting something a bit more dignified, and then I discovered the Linen version of the shirt, so I’m hoping to exchange this one for that one. If you want the more rich dignified 1500s royal court look to go under a doublet, look for the “Bastian Linen Shirt”. But if you want the 1500s rougher looking working class/artisan/soldier shirt, than this is the one for you.

This shirt is a great piece to start an outfit with. You need a good base garment that will show off your style. This shirt has long ties on the wrist that make it very adjustable. The cloth is top grade and I look forward to the next Ren Faire.

Fantastic shirt! Fit and quality is more than I expected. Unlike a few Mytholon shirts I’ve ordered the sleeves and armpits are not overly tight. Perfect base shirt for any garb.

This shirt is a well-made, comfortable, period accurate garment. I am 6’0″ and about 250. I ordered an XL but I probably could’ve gone with a large and still had room to spare. Light and breathable, you won’t regret this purchase.

Great Shirt bought in Cream/off white in Large .and will shrink a bit even using COLD water…..I use a mild detergent…and hang up to dry…..Very well made…and super comfortable – 100% cotton…

Loose like a pirate shirt would be historically. Very adjustable, and breathable. Excellent Mytholon quality. Accurate cream color (because lets face it, pirates got dirty!). This is your go to for an accurate 17th Century Pirate cosplay 🙂
