I purchased these to go with my 15th-century German kit. The reason I only gave it four stars is because of the lower part of the armor and a few annoyances here and there. do to Using a strap to hold it shut instead of a pin makes it hard to close them all the way and may leave a small gap between the plates, but that’s not really a deal breaker, and it may also improve as I wear in the strap more. The hinges on the outside are kind of an eye-sore for me, but others may not mind, and I could clearly see them in the pictures, so that’s entirely an oversight on my part. I would also make sure they aren’t too big, as even with a doublet, these are pretty big for me. I would also recommend getting a doublet or gambeson with good arming points because this piece tends to slide down. Other than those complaints, this armor serves its purpose well and looks good.
