The Freemasons have been around since the 16th and 17th centuries, and while not an official knightly order, that does not mean that they have never used a sword like the Blue Masonic Longsword in ceremony and ritual. A richly embellished two-tone hilt and guard give the sword a noble and impressive bearing; set in the pommel is silvered emblem depicting a star, wrapped around the letter G, which, in Freemasonry, is symbolic of the four letters and the fifth science. Pommel and hilt are both limned in gold, with the hilt having a red-wrapped handle. The guard is richly decorated in gold, with a silvered emblem at its center bearing the traditional standard of Freemasonry, the Masonic square and compass. The blade is left un-ornamented, though the polished steel does little to detract from the gilded hilt and guard. A simple blade atop a gilded, embellished hilt, the Blue Masonic Longsword is sure to be a perfect item for Freemasons and sword enthusiasts alike.
