This crossbow is perfect for use in the LARP or any similar type of re-enactments, it is also great for general target practice and shooting. It pulls 40 pounds at 20 inches. In Medieval times, crossbows were used for both Military or defense purposes and to hunt with. This Medieval style crossbow is a rough and ready type, which means it is a basic model that is less expensive than other completely finished models. The upside to our Rough and Ready model is that crossbow is still completely functional and you can put your own touch on the crossbow, whether you want to leave it a natural wood, sand and paint it or stain it, the possibilites are endless. The stock is made from one solid piece of pine and features an arrow groove and a wooden side trigger. The prod is made from a thick piece of linen backed Red Oak. This crossbow is light weight, weighing just under 4 pounds and is fun to shoot. The arrow or bolt will shoot approximately 130 feet, of course many different factors can affect the length. This functional crossbow can be used either left handed or right handed.

Our Rough and Ready Target Crossbow comes with two arrows (color will vary) and bow string. Assembly is required, easy to follow instructions are included. It roughly takes 15 minutes or less to put together. After assembly, it is completely ready to use.
