This Voracious Plague Rat isn't exactly a typical representative of rats everywhere. For example, as mean as a rat can be, this rat looks infinitely meaner. In fact, it very much has a nearly-rabid look, as though it would seek out things to attack. From behind this chubby little rat could be mistaken for any other example of its kind, but from the front, it is difficult to confuse it for anything close to a normal, healthy rat. The rat has a rotund body that is hunched over, as if it is hissing at its prey. The rat's forelimbs are poised eagerly to snatch up whatever lies in front of it, while its jaws are opened wide, revealing rows of sharp, pointed teeth. It's eyes, though, are the most eerie feature, being solid orbs of crimson that hint at the rat being infected or otherwise contaminated with some sort of sickness. The rat is made from foam filled latex, which gives it a durable yet malleable shape and form. Rats have long been blamed as the carriers of sickness and disease, and as such, they also have a place in the realm of horror. And that works wonderfully for the Voracious Plague Rat, which has just the right level of intimidation and appearance to be a creepy little horror icon, itself.
