Frustrated and scared, he strikes a boulder with the cane, transforming it into Mjolnir, a magical hammer and himself into the God of Thunder, Thor. He defeats the aliens, who retreated from Earth. By tapping the ground with Mjolnir, he transforms back into Donald Blake, holding a simple wooden cane. Returning to New York, Blake uses his secret identity of Thor to fight crime and defend Earth. He eventually becomes one of the greatest heroes of The Avengers.
