ArtPlaks
ArtPlaks are a
simple,
attractive and
economical way
to display
posters,
prints,
photographs,
certificates
and most any
other paper
product. They
are a modern
alternative to
conventional
framing. The
print or
poster is
protected by a
paper thin,
non-reflective
laminate and
attached to a
wood surface.
The ArtPlak
edges are
beveled and
finished
either in
black or some
matching
color.
ArtPlaks offer
several
advantages
over custom
framing
-
ArtPlaks are
more
economical
-
unlike
glass,
ArtPlaks
have a non-
reflective
surface
-
since glass
is not used,
plaques are
lighter and
safer for
use in high
traffic
areas such
as
children's
rooms and
rec rooms
-
ArtPlaks can
easily be
grouped
since they
all have the
same edge
treatment
-
the simple
edge
treatment of
the ArtPlak
emphasizes
the art
rather than
the frame
Medieval
Collectibles
offers three
distinctive
types of
ArtPlak
1. The
Decorator
ArtPlak...
as the name
implies, this
is our most
elaborate
ArtPlak. The
laminated
poster is
permanently
attached to a
1/4" tempered
hardboard
after which a
fitted frame
is glued to
the back. The
frame provides
strength to
the hardboard
as well as
giving the
ArtPlak more
depth on its
edge. The
frame edge is
then beveled
at 45 degrees
on its face.

2. The
Museum ArtPlak
...
artwork for
Museum
ArtPlaks is
laminated and
mounted onto
1/4 inch
hardboard
surface. After
the edges are
beveled and
finished, a
simple wooden
frame is
attached to
the back of
the ArtPlak
and set in
from the edge
so it cannot
be seen. The
frame serves
to provide
both stability
and allow the
ArtPlak to
seemingly
float away
from the wall.
This format is
frequently
used for
museum
displays and
is an elegant
way to display
photography.

treatment.
3. The
Classical
ArtPlak ...
the artwork is
laminated and
permanently
attached onto
a 3/8 inch
hardboard
surface. The
edges are then
beveled and
finished in
black or other
complimentary
color. A slot
on the back
makes flush
mounting to
the wall a
snap. The
Classical
ArtPlak is our
original style
of ArtPlak and
is ideal for
images up to
24" x 36".

Canvas
Transfers
Canvas
transfers are
an exciting
new type of
finished art
products.
Imagine being
able to take a
poster and
transfer the
image onto
canvas so that
it resembles
an original
oil painting.
We can
transfer
almost any
poster onto
canvas and if
desired
enhance the
final product
with custom
brushstrokes
to simulate
the texture of
the original
painting.
We offer four
types of
canvas
transfer
according to
whether you
intend to
frame the
canvas
transfer or
simply hang it
directly.
Designed for
Framing;
Canvas
